Lakewood High School Football


Head coach: LJ Clark, first season.

A previous assistant under Warren Wolf and a former player at Lakewood, Clark earned the job after Wolf retired following the 2010 season.

Former head coach: Warren Wolf. Career record: 3-7 in one season at Lakewood, 364-129-11 overall in 52 seasons, including 51 years as Brick's only coach in program history until 2009. The second all-time winningest coach in New Jersey history, Wolf was the inaugural inductee into the Shore Football Coaches Foundation Hall of Fame. His Brick teams had 42 winning seasons, eight undefeated seasons, 25 Shore Conference division titles and won six state sectional titles, including the inaugural South Jersey Group IV title when the current playoff system was created in 1974. In one season at Lakewood in 2010, he helped the Piners end a 33-game losing streak and win their most games since 2002. Wolf, 84, retired in the summer of 2011.

1 NJSIAA sectional title (6 overall, including the 5 titles that were awarded by the NJSIAA before the creation of the state playoff system in 1974).
